The Own Ship Radar ARPA equipment is available in the following version:

> STIMulated Radar
> SIMulated Radar

According the training requirements, one [or both] of the above radar system can be installed in the simulator.

RADAR ARPA

Stimulated

The Radar ARPA is a REAL equipment that, instead of using the antenna(s) to collect data about the surrounding space, data are created and feed to the Radar connection port(s) using the RadStim [Radar Stimulator].

The RadStim is a PC based equipment with addictional interfacing hardware; the PC is linked to the simulation network and "transform" the virtual space into suitable signal sto be inputted to a real Radar.

Therefore all the Radar functionalities are still available*, being the equipment is a real one.

Each RadStim, inside the same own ship or cubicle, is able to manage 2 Radars.

*[depends on real equipment model]

Simulated

Radar ARPA is simulated, therefore a Radar simulation software module is used to re-create the radio waves propagation and specific radar effect, and moreover to exactly reproduce the graphic and the funtionalities of the requested radar model.

The actual production of radar simulator "RadSim2" include the following radar models:
>ECA-Sindel generic ARPA Radar
>Decca Bridgemaster-E

On request is it possible to simulated any equipment.

▲ECA-Sindel generic radar ARPA

▲near replica Decca bridgemaster-E
